In Today’s Issue…
à Stoking the Economic Fire (SA)
*************************
à From Embers To Wildfire (Shawn Ambrosino)
The world is on fire…
Civil unrest throughout the Middle East, Europe and even here in the United States is taking it tolls on both minds and markets alike.
While it may seem like we’re living in very dark times, one can’t help but to think of that old idiom – “It’s always darkest before the dawn.”
Are we on the cusp of a new age of enlightenment?
Or will we watch the world around us burn to cinders?
Only God knows…
But what we need and want to understand is why this is happening all at once.
What is the fanning the flames?
Oppression seems to be prevailing battle cry throughout the Middle East…
The infringement of civil liberties is rallying people in Egypt, Bahrain and Libya to take to the streets in hopes to oust the powers that be.
Let’s hope these citizens aren’t trading one form of dictatorship for another.
On the other side of the coin, the riots in Greece, as well as the protests in Wisconsin seemed to be steeped in the sick, socialistic tale that has dragged down many great empires in the past.
Greeks have become so dependent on the government for jobs, that when the country is on the verge of bankruptcy, all the jobs lost due to an attempt to keep the country afloat is pushing the newly unemployed to take to the streets, protests that seem to turn more violent by the day.
Many European countries have made a bed fellow out of socialism, and now they’re paying the price of sleeping with it.
Socialism does not work.
Which brings us back home to the United States, and the Cheese State of Wisconsin…
Government service employees such as first responders and teachers are crowding the state’s capital building in protest to the Governor trying to eliminate collective bargaining agreements for union members.
In this case, the governor is boldly trying to break the socialistic norm that has outlived its usefulness.
Unions, at one time, were an effective, integral and even necessary organization...
My grandmother praises the autoworkers union for getting our family through some tough times during the 60’s and 70’s…
But they are now crippling industries in which they were formed to help protect.
Keeping them going is like keeping a death grip on a relic from a forgotten age…
Both workers and industries have evolved, and it’s time unions realized that the money train is stopping as they’re on the edge of extinction.
But the protests continue…
And all this unrest is wreaking havoc on the markets.
Stocks are dropping like lead balloons, oil is skyrocketing along with commodities such as gold and silver.
Our shot at survival lies in the hands protecting our wealth now, and as it seems, for the foreseeable future…
Commodities may be our only saving grace.
As inflation explodes, you’ll see these commodities shatter their previous highs on an almost daily basis…
So the time to make our move is now.
Don’t wait till the dollar in your pocket is worth $.75 or even $.50…
Make you move today…
And while the world may burn, your future and your wealth will be protected in a fire proof safe.
Editor’s Note: A grim outlook from our normally optimistic and resident comedian, but the truth of Shawn’s words is hard to ignore. That’s why Tim recently took it upon himself to research some of the best commodity moves for investors like us, and we believe he’s found a winner. Quote Of The Day
“One half of the world must sweat and groan
that the other half may dream.”
that the other half may dream.”
--Henry Wadsworth Longfellow--
